Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Remote

Duration: 3 Months (Potential Extension/Conversion)

Schedule: 8:30am 4:30 pm Monday Friday

Pay: 22/hr

Note: Candidates will be required to use their own equipment for this role.

Job Responsibilities:

• Enter purchase order invoices into the accounting system (approximately 150 200 invoices daily)
• Ensure invoice accuracy, including supplier name, invoice amount, invoice date, 1099 type/amount, and tax assessment
• Resolve supplier and university department inquiries related to invoices, check requests, and payment status/issues
• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies or errors
• Support special projects assigned by AP Leads or the AP Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a metric-driven environment
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to work collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
• Experience working in a Higher Education environment
• Experience with ERP workflow systems such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, or Workday
