Gotion Inc. is based in Silicon Valley, CA, currently building a Manufacturing facility in Manteno, IL and has R&D centers in Ohio, China, Japan and Europe. This role will be responsible to monitor, report, perform and coordinate activities necessary to ensure compliance with the environmental policy, work on obtaining ISO 14001 certification, legal and other requirements.

Job Responsibilities

1. Maintains compliance documentation, annually review, update and revise environmental  documentation and Maintains environmental record keeping systems to assure compliance with record keeping and retention requirements.

2. Performs environmental audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure regulatory compliance with environmental standards

3. Provides technical assistance, advice, coaching, guidance and mentoring to employees on environmental initiatives and necessary changes.

1. Communicates issues regarding non-conformance to Leadership of HS&E as per policies and procedures.

2. Monitors and evaluate the impact of regulatory changes on existing and proposed processes as well as equipment and propose compliant solutions.

3. Conducts or coordinate training in environmental regulations, ISO14001 and other standards

4. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety requirements for this position

are safety glasses and steel-toed work boots.

Job Requirements: 

1. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering preferred or accredited Environmental certification.

2. Certification:  OSHA 30 general industrial

3. 2-3 year related experience  

4. Must understand ISO14001 standards

5. Familiarity with OSHA standards preferred

6. Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal

7. Knowledge of EPA process and requirements

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $70,000 –$90,000, plus eligibility for bonus and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by factors such as the role, level, and geographic location. The range listed in the job posting represents the minimum and maximum target salaries for this position across all U.S. locations. Actual compensation within the range will be influenced by the specific work location, along with factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
