Job Description

Overview:

Foot Locker, Inc., the world's leading retailer of athletically inspired shoes and apparel, is seeking a Real Estate Project Coordinator. The Real Estate Project Coordinator is an essential step in learning the retail leasing business, so the incumbent will secure supplementary storage spaces as well as temporary store locations during construction periods, negotiate the rent and terms with the Landlord Representative, and analyze license agreements prior to execution. The Real Estate Project Coordinator will provide support in analysis, reporting, communicating, and preparing for meetings and presentations is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage temporary and storage deals for North America from start to finish
    • Obtain quality temporary and storage spaces as determined by the construction schedule and divisional needs
    • Negotiate sound economic deals that hurdle while operating within the required time frame
    • Prepare temporary and storage deals for approval
    • Analyze and negotiate license agreements for approved deals
    • Monitor progress of approved deals to assure timely openings and closures that adhere to the signed license agreement
    • Attend required informational and status meetings relating to storage and temporary store agreements
    • Maintain a tracking system for deals in order to stay organized and provide frequent status updates
  • Update Tenancy and Occupancy reports on a monthly basis and distribute to Real Estate Leasing team
  • Negotiate short-term permanent store leases as assigned by Director and VP of Leasing
  • Attend weekly / monthly meetings with Real Estate Leasing / Construction / Market Planning / Legal / Lease Administration / Divisional departments
  • Maintain continuous communication with other departments, landlord partners and vendor partners to grow professional network and lead as an ambassador for store development and Foot Locker, Inc.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, vendor visits and other group events
  • Assist with the monthly North American real estate deal approval process including collection of deals, follow up and post-meeting communication for North America stores
  • Assist VP of Leasing in presenting monthly real estate deals to executive leadership
  • Assist VP of Store Development with travel and expenses as needed
  • Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Benefits:
  • Minimum of 2 years related work experience preferred, ideally in a Real Estate setting
  • Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Knowledge of Real Estate / Leasing / Construction / Design / Legal industry practices a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Possess analytical skills and the ability to perform real estate related calculations and analysis
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Experience or willingness to learn negotiation tactics
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time independently
