Job Description

Job Summary
The Testing Center Proctor ensures a secure, fair, and professional testing environment. This role provides high-level customer service and administrative support to candidates while upholding the standards and mission of the Regional Office of Education.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome candidates, verify identification, and orient them on exam rules and software.
  • Maintain the integrity of the testing process by actively monitoring candidates via physical observation and camera systems.
  • Manage high-volume scheduling, often handling up to 35 candidates per day with precision.
  • Document and submit detailed reports for any exam discrepancies, technical glitches, or candidate misconduct.
  • Oversee the secure distribution and collection of all sensitive exam materials.
  • Resolve minor technical or systematic issues that arise during testing sessions.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Director.

Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of experience in an administrative or customer service role preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
  • Must be willing to complete online training and pass the Pearson VUE Administrator Certification Exam upon hire.
  • Successful completion of an FBI background check is required.
  • Ability to sit for long periods and the sensory capacity to monitor the testing floor effectively.

Working Conditions

  • This is a part-time position totaling approximately 20-25 hours per month.
  • Shifts typically occur outside of standard business hours, including two evenings and two Saturdays per month.
  • Must be highly dependable and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
